CMAC Group acquires Spanish based Aircinks Solutions

Posted Jul 21, 2021

CMAC Aircinks

Leading UK ground transport and accommodation provider CMAC, has acquired Spanish based company, Aircinks Solutions.

Operating for 10 years, Aircinks has built a solid foundation serving and supporting airlines across Spain, Portugal and Morocco, during flight disruption.

Following the launch of CMAC operations in Greece last year, the expansion into Spain sees the Lancashire head quartered organisation buck the trend around Brexit uncertainty, extending their footprint into Europe. CMAC now serve over 130 Airports.

The Aircinks operation will continue to be overseen by Israel Moreno, who move across to the CMAC Group, bringing with them their vast experience in dealing with flight disruption across the region.

Commenting on the acquisition, Jordi Llopis said: “As part of the CMAC Group, we are looking forward to the opportunities to expand the Aircinks network in Europe. CMAC provides new platforms and technologies which will enable us to deliver our services more efficiently and effectively to our customers.”

The Aircinks acquisition follows CMAC’s recent accolade at the Business Continuity Awards, where they received ‘Highly Commended’ for their Strategy and Partnership work with Aviation Services provider Swissport.

The acquisition of Aircinks has given us a great platform to build our services across Spain and Portugal and, along with our Greece operation, is a significant step in the development of CMAC as a major player in airline disruption across Europe. Many businesses may be cautious about expanding in Europe, but we feel this is absolutely the right time to be investing in the Continent and providing our services to new and existing customers.
